Back in August 1014, my wife Elaine and I decided to take early retirement and move to Spain (Elaine having lived and worked here before). We started looking on the internet and decided to approach four estate agents here in Spain, one of which was 4everspain. After a couple of months we decided that Carol was the one to go for, the others did not give us any confidence. As soon as we contacted Carol she was so helpful. Any questions, right from the beginning were answered swiftly and she gave us a feeling of security with our move to Spain.
In March 2015 we came out for a week with a list of 21 viewings with Carol. We were going to look, in the beginning, in the region of Almeria. After two and a half days of viewing sixteen properties Carol new exactly what we were looking for; ground level property, pool, apartment, spacious garden and close easy access to amenities. Carol hit us with a “wild card”, still with six properties to view. She suggested we look at a property in Lorca (Campillo), Murcia. We thought, ‘in for a penny, in for a pound’! Wow, had she hit the nail on the head! As soon as we walked into the driveway, without even looking inside, we had fallen in love with it. After viewing the whole property, we made our move and put it an offer and after one negotiation talk we agreed to buy.
On our return to England Carol kept us updated, still giving us the personal attention which she had shown right from the beginning. She sorted out our Solicitor who had Power of Attorney and she was fantastic too.
On our arrival in June 2015 Carol had gone that extra mile and had got us a ‘get you in pack’ and made us a stew for our first evening meal – now that’s a ‘personal touch’.
Carol’s after care was great. She gave us contacts for insurances and builders, for the renovation work we wanted to do, put our own touch on the property.
We are now nearly eight months in to our ‘early retirement home’, everything done, made great new friends, Spanish and English and thoroughly enjoying our life here. Carol still keeps in touch and visits when she can. THANK YOU CAROL for getting us here.
